A first sensory scene, kept simple
Use texture, sound and anticipation to create novelty without chasing intensity.

Reduce variables
Choose two sensations, not ten: perhaps soft fabric and cool metal, or music and a scented room. Test temperature on your own inner wrist first and avoid extreme heat or cold. If vision is limited, narrate movement and check in more often.
Design an ending
Agree on a short duration and a clear transition back—remove anything covering the eyes, offer water and let vision adjust before standing. Surprise should exist inside agreed boundaries, never replace them.
Try this: One partner chooses three safe household textures. The other ranks them “more, same or less,” with no goal beyond learning.
